Kuala Lurah - Officers from the Royal Customs and Excise Department yesterday foiled an attempt to smuggle a huge amount of cigarettes from the Kuala Lurah Customs Control Post during a routine check.
A 24-year-old local male was found with 259 cartons and six packets of cigarettes upon further inspection of the sedan that was used.
In regards to this, the Royal Customs and Excise Department wishes to ask for the public's assistance in regards to information on smuggling activities and the sale of customs contraband items.
