Bandar Seri Begawan - The Chinese Embassy in Brunei Darussalam on Friday presented more than 16,000 books to five local Chinese schools, at a ceremony held at the Chinese Embassy located in Jalan Muara.

The Ambassador of China to Brunei, Mr Zheng Xianglin, was present to hand over the donations to representatives of the five schools, namely Tutong Chung Hwa School, Pai Yuek School in Temburong, Chung Lian School in Sungai Liang, Chung Hwa School in Labi and Chung Hwa School in Kiudang.

The textbooks donated were in Chinese characters. Additional exercise books were also donated as the recipients seek aid from the Chinese Embassy to provide teaching and learning materials in the Chinese Language.
