Bandar Seri Begawan - The Chinese Chamber of Commerce BSB, one of the biggest Chinese business associations in the country, will cease all its activities temporarily until further notice after receiving the instruction in an official letter from Registrar of Societies dated March 4, 2013.

The letter stated that under Section 17 Chapter 203 of Societies Act, the Chinese Chamber of Commerce BSB is instructed to cease all its activities from the date of the order until the order is terminated by the Registrar of Societies.

The suspension of the association is based on an internal problem on the voting of new office bearers for 2012-2014 session, which was held in 2011, the official letter stated.

The Chinese Chamber of Commerce BSB has acknowledged the order and has informed all its members to obey the instruction by Registrar of Societies.
