Bandar Seri Begawan - A workshop held as part of the Public Speaking Seminar entitled "Effective Presentation Skills" was conducted yesterday on the third floor of The Airport Mall by the Brunei Speakers Club. It was attended by students from Cosmopolitan College of Commerce and Technology.

The workshop was led by Elizabeth Sim, one of the members of the Brunei Speakers Club, who gave the nearly-100 students who attended the workshop a wake-up call by describing how she overcame the fear of public speaking.

During the event, a number of students were also selected to showcase their presentation skills on a particular issue. The workshop aims to continuously improve the skills of students and tries to bring out the best in students as they prepare for employability.

The event seemed to have a positive effect on the students, judging from the feedback given to Elizabeth on what they. had accomplished by the end of the day.
