Bandar Seri Begawan - The Singaporean students who participated in the Brunei Singapore Student Leaders Adventure Camp 2012 (BSAC 2012) returned home on Saturday after participating in various physical and mentally challenging activities.

The student camp was aimed to forge new friendships across national borders through various team-building games and outdoor activities. The camps also served to educate students on the need to conserve the natural environment, to preserve its biodiversity and preserve the cultural heritage of one's country through nature activities.
Student exchanges through adventure camps is a key area of cooperation in the Memorandums of Understanding on Educational Cooperation that were concluded between Brunei and Singapore's Education Ministries in February 2006.
During the programme, the students also had a chance to visit a paddy field at Kampong Lubuk Gusi, Birau Tutong. During the visit the participants were briefed about the different kinds of paddy and ways of planting paddy by officers from the Agriculture Department from Tutong District. The participants from both countries took part in the traditional ways of planting paddy.
