Bandar Seri Begawan - Brunei LNG Sdn Bhd held a launching ceremony for their annual Security Roadshow yesterday morning at the company's New Management Security Centre (NMSC) building in Lumut.
Present to officially launch the Security Roadshow was Awg Mohd Husini bin Bakar, the Legal and Communication Manager of Brunei LNG Sdn Bhd.
In his opening address, Awg Mohd Husini stated that the main objectives of the roadshow are to foster and enhance better understanding and working relationship between Brunei LNG Security and other government enforcement agencies; to educate and improve overall security awareness for their staff and contractors; to create awareness on current and amendment of Brunei Legal laws such as crime and traffic cases; to prevent the commission of crime; and to avoid loss and other costs incurred resulting from security incidents.
The Legal and Communication Manager also conveyed his appreciation to the Brunei LNG Security Department and other departments for conducting the event, as for the past two years they had been receiving overwhelming response from the Brunei LNG population, visitors and BGC crews.
"I hope that with the participation from all the enforcement agencies, it will provide our internal stakeholders in Brunei LNG with more knowledge and further understanding of their roles and responsibilities towards the security and safety of our plant," said Awg Mohd Husini upon the conclusion of his address.
Government enforcement agencies that take part in the three-day Security Roadshow exhibitions are Royal Brunei Police Force, Narcotics Control Bureau, Department of Immigration and National Registration, Royal Customs and Excise Department, Brunei National Road Safety Council, Land Transport Department, Labour Department and the Marine Department.
