Bandar Seri Begawan - The lifeless body of a mysterious woman who was discovered around midnight on Wednesday has been positively identified by her husband.

The Royal Brunei Police Force has confirmed the woman is of Indonesian nationality, aged 32, and was in the country for only five months before the tragic incident. She was employed as a domestic helper.

The post-mortem revealed the woman died from drowning and the police have ruled that no foul play is suspected. It was earlier reported the woman was found by members of the public who had been out fishing.

The deceased lived in the vicinity where her body was found.
