Body Of Basketball Player Sent To Sibu

Bandar Seri Begawan - The body of the late Siew Woo Chung, who suffered a heart attack in the wee hours on Friday and later passed away at RIPAS Hospital, has been sent back to the town of Sibu, Malaysia where the family of the deceased resides.

Mr Siew came to Brunei as part of the Miri Kinsar Basketball Team to participate in the 21st Asean Veteran Basketball Invitational Tournament.

The deceased's wife, as well as sister and eldest son, arrived in the Sultanate to claim his body take it back to Sibu.

His roommate, Tiong Chiong Ming, who found Mr Slew in his bed without any signs of life, said, "He was a good man with a passion for basketball."

Traumatised after the incident, Mr Tiong also said that he was unable to sleep at all last night.

Also present at the RIPAS Hospital to convey their deepest condolences to the family members of late Slew were members of the Brunei Basketball Association.
