Kuala Belait - Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam Berhad (BIBD) yesterday continued their series of Financial Literacy and Planning talks in efforts to raise financial awareness amongst the public. The talks were organised by the Wealth Management Unit of BIBD.
The talk was delivered by Rozielawati Hj Jamil, a representative from BIBD's Wealth Management Unit to some 60 students and teaching staff of Maktab Kejuruteraan Jefri Bolkiah in Kuala Belait yesterday.
Also in attendance was the School Counsellor and Career Guidance Officer, Cikgu Muhammad Bukhari bin Awang Ahmad.
One of the aims of the talks were to educate the younger generation on the importance of money management and to remind them to start saving while they are still young. The talk also helped the working group to plan for their retirement and other milestones such as raising a family, getting their dream home, planning for their children's education and building their wealth over time.
