Bandar Seri Begawan - The Ministry of Defence yesterday received a visit from Principal Staff Officer (PSO) to the Prime Minister of the Armed Forces Division of Bangladesh, Lieutenant General Abdul Wadud, at the Bolkiah Garrison.
Upon arrival, Lieutenant General Abdul Wadud was accorded a guard of honour mounted by personnel from the Third Battalion of the Royal Brunei Land Force. Lieutenant General Abdul Wadud then proceeded to pay a courtesy call on Deputy Minister of Defence Dato Paduka Haji Mustappa bin Haji Sirat. Also present were the Commander of Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), permanent secretary, directors and senior officers of the Ministry of Defence.
Later, Lieutenant General Abdul Wadud also pay a courtesy call to the Commander of Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin. Also present were the RBAF deputy commander, services commanders, directors and RBAF senior officers.
The visit aims to continue the long-established bilateral relations and explore areas of military cooperation between both countries.
Lieutenant General Abdul Wadud and spouse, Begum Shamsun Nahar, as well as delegates were in the country on a three-day introductory visit.
During the visit, Lieutenant General Abdul Wadud and delegates visited the RBAF Third Battalion at Lumut Camp and Royal Brunei Navy Headquarters in Muara.
