Bandar Seri Begawan - A local man who has been charged with trickery in September is still under investigation and his bail was extended yesterday in a further mention of the case before Chief Magistrate Hj Abdullah Soefri POKSM DSP Hj Abidin.

DPP Dk Nurul Pg Rosli asked for two weeks' adjournment to go through sizeable documents regarding the case and finalise charges.

The Chief Magistrate fixed November 20, 2012 for further mention of the case.

Pg Asmadi bin Pg Ali, 39, allegedly cheated Rosli bin Hj Yassin by presenting an investment deal.

The deal was that Rosli would hand over a certain amount of gold jewellery to Pg Asmadi, and be paid in return a certain amount of money after a period of six months expiring July 2012.

The charge alleges that the defendant never intended to pay Rosli nor invest any jewellery handed over to the defendant.

The defendant's release on court bail of 13610,000 or in two local sureties was extended pending the next court date.
