Baiduri Employees Awarded With Fire Marshal Certificates

Beribi - Over the years, Baiduri Bank Group has been actively sending employees for 'Fire Marshal' training courses. A fire marshal training course instills confidence in people and an understanding that fire safety awareness is vital to reducing fire incidents or fatalities.

Certified staff members were awarded certificates after they successfully completed a three-day course. The certificate presentation ceremony was held at the Sejahtera Hall of Sumbangsih Bahagia in Beribi.

Certificates were presented by the guests of honour, Commanding Officer of Operation Awg Muhd Sahreeni bin Hj Yusof and Baiduri Bank's Deputy General Manager of Operations Management Division, Andrew Young.

"A fire marshal who is well trained acquires essential knowledge about fire prevention and firefighting techniques.

"This is like a life skill and is important; not just at work but anywhere especially at home. Fire marshals also play an important role in the bank's Business Continuity Plan," Andrew said.

Also present to witness this memorable occasion from Baiduri Bank were Senior Manager of Human Resources, Veronica Chong; Head of Security Control Department, Pg Hj Shadan bin Pg Hj Yakob and Manager of Corporate Communications and Marketing Department, Dorothy Newn and from the Beribi Fire & Rescue Department was Deputy Commanding Officer of Operation A', Ak Azizul Rahman bin Pg Hj Yusof.

Baiduri Bank Group expresses their appreciation to the Fire and Rescue Department for their cooperation in providing the beneficial and educational training.

To date, a total of 66 staff members have been certified fire marshals, equivalent to 1/8 of the staff workforce.
