Bandar Seri Begawan - Baiduri Bank held an inauguration ceremony for its newly renovated headquarters last evening at the Baiduri Bank Head Office, which is strategically located together with Baiduri Bank's main branch at the Kiarong Complex.

The guest of honour was Pehin Orang Kaya Hamzah Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdullah bin Begawan Mudim Dato Paduka Haji Bakar, the Minister of Communications and Acting Minister of Development.

Also present during the inauguration were invited guests including government officials, diplomats, Baiduri Bank Group clients and management of Baiduri Bank Group.

Mr Pierre Imhof, the Chief Executive Officer of Baiduri Bank, who spoke at the event, said Baiduri Bank decided it was time for the bank to undergo a makeover to revitalise its physical look to reflect the strength and strong image of Baiduri Bank Group, as one of the largest financial institutions in the country.

We undertook a major premises improvement programme that covered the renovation of key branches and opening new branches in high-growth areas nationwide to provide customers with more convenience and improved access to services.

"I am also pleased to share with you that Baiduri Bank has just been awarded the 'Bank of the Year 2012 for Brunei' award by The Banker Magazine in the UK, making it the third international banking award we have received this year.

These continuous awards reflect consistency in our performance as we continue to grow our profits and balance sheets.

We are very fortunate that despite turbulence around the world, Brunei has remained fairly stable, and for this, credit must be given to the Brunei authorities," added Mr Imhof.

The renovated headquarters boasts of modern facilities, spacious interiors and more efficient space layout all intended to give the bank's employees and customers a more comfortable and enjoyable banking experience.

Invited guests were treated to a sumptuous feast while being entertained by a live jazz band called Atmosphere. Another highlight of the night was the launch of the bank's new uniform, which is designed to project a smart look befitting financial professionals.
