
Bandar Seri Begawan - His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday consented to receive in audience at the Istana Nurul Iman Dr Mohammed bin Hamad al-Rumhy, Oman's Oil and Gas Minister, who is currently visiting the country.
During the meeting, bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and cooperation in various fields were reviewed, in addition to discussing issues of common concern, Oman News Agency (ONA) reported.
Also present during the audience were the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade II, Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Dewa Dato Seri Setia Awg Lim Jock Seng; Minister of Energy at the Prime Minister's Office, Pehin Datu Singamanteri Col (Rtd) Dato Seri Setia Dr Awg Hj Mohammad Yasmin bin Hj Umar; and Permanent Secretary (Energy) at the Prime Minister's Office, Dato Paduka Awg Hj Matsatejo bin Sokiaw.
Also present was Oman's Ambassador to Brunei, Sayyid Fakhri bin Mohammed al-Said.
Earlier, Dr al-Rumhy met with Pehin Datu Singamanteri Col (Rtd) Dato Seri Setia Dr Awg Hj Mohammad Yasmin. The meeting touched on a number of topics related to promoting bilateral cooperation between the two countries particularly those pertaining to fields of oil, gas and energy.
