Kelantan, Malaysia - Four officers and 10 students from Arabic Preparatory School recently left for Kota Bharu, Kelantan to attend the 'Junior Thinking Odyssey: International Co Academic Challenge 2012' which carries the theme 'Niche Mathematics and English'.
Present at the airport to bid farewell was the Head of Human Resource Development and Scholarship of Islamic Education institute, Ustazah Hajijah binti Hj Moktal, together with senior officers, teachers and parents of the students.
The programme is organised by Sekolah Kebangsaan Zainab (1), Kota Bharu Malaysia for primary school in east zone cluster. The event, is held from November 18 to 21 at the Health Campus, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) Kubang Kerian, Kelantan.
Besides participation from various schools in West Malaysia, the programme is also joined by participants from Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand and Australia.
The objectives of the competition are to strengthen English and Maths acquisitions through co-academic activities and to provide more opportunities for sharing knowledge at the national as well as international levels.
