Bandar Seri Begawan - The GAMTA Boat Racing Team (Youth Generation of Mukim Tamoi) were honoured with a thanksgiving ceremony and medal presentation held at Awg Tarip bin Hj Asgar, the Village Head of Kampong Tamoi Tengah and Tamoi Ujong's residence last night.

The GAMTA team recently participated in the Brunei Regatta and excelled in the competition, winning five of the races.

The guest of honour during the ceremony was Awg Hj Jamain bin Momin, Brunei-Muara District Officer and also Chairman of GAMTA.

The event started with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Hj Masfourteen bin Hj Mohd Yussof, followed by a welcoming speech by the village head.

The guest of honour then expressed his appreciation and congratulated the team.

In addition, the GAMTA team was also invited to participate in the Malaysia boat race, which will be held this month.

The event concluded with a presentation of medals to paddlers of the GAMTA team by the guest of honour.

Also present at the ceremony were the Penghulu of Mukim Tamoi, Pengarah Hj Mokti bin Mat Salleh, MPK Advisory Committee, MPK Committee members and GAMTA team coach.
