Bandar Seri Begawan - The Andy Suzuki and The Method craze in Brunei is nearing an end, as the three-man band had their last meet-and-greet session at KFC in Bandar Seri Begawan yesterday afternoon before they were scheduled to head back to New York City on Monday.
A big crowd was already waiting in anticipation for the group at the venue yesterday an hour before they arrived.
When the men eventually came, the audience was ecstatic to see them, and the band was also overwhelmed by the turnout.
The band - comprising Andy Suzuki, 26, Kozza Babumba, 28, and Jason, 22 - serenaded the fans with two acoustic originals before the photo and autograph sessions started.
Speaking to the Weekend Bulletin, Jonathan Bong, the Senior Marketing Manager of KFC, said that he was thrilled to see how packed their biggest outlet in Brunei was, adding that it was the most encouraging turnout for an event at KFC in a very long time.
"Working with the boys has been very fun, and they are all very humble," commented Jonathan.
The band's fans are awaiting the launch of their music video entitled "So Good" that was shot and edited by Shazanas Production House, which will be ready in a few weeks and will be uploaded on KFC's YouTube and Facebook pages.
Meanwhile, Bahzi Damit from BeeDee Productions, who is also Aziz Harun's manager and who helped run two of the band's shows recently at Brunei Hotel, explained how it has been a good learning experience for the both the local artistes and himself.
"I also hope that their presence has motivated our local artistes and set the bar higher for our local musicians," he said.
UBDfm has played the biggest role in enabling Andy Suzuki and The Method to come over to Brunei, and the organiser has also gone that extra mile to ensure the band's two-week stay here has been smooth.
