AITI Initiates Consultancy Project Regulating .Bn Domains

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Authority for. Info-communications Technology Industry of Brunei Darussalam (AITI) has initiated a consultancy project regarding Domain Name Management to review the existing management of .bn country-Code 'Top Level Domain Name' in Brunei Darussalam which started on April this year.

This project is a part of AITI's function to authorise and regulate the registration, administration and management of domain names in Brunei Darussalam.

As part of the project, AITI has released a public consultation paper on Proposed Domain Name Management Framework on September 14.

The aim of the public consultation paper is to gather opinion and comment from the industry as well as members of the public on AITI's proposed Domain Name Management Framework of .bn Domains before implementing it in the country.

The public consultation paper is downloadable at www.aiti.gov.bn.

The closing date to provide feedback and comments on the public consultation paper is on October 8 at 3.30pm.
