7 Apprehended, Special Passes Issued In Latest Op

Bandar Seri Begawan - A total of seven foreign nationals, among them a woman, were apprehended in an enforcement operation that took place recently within the Mukim Lumapas and Mukim Sengkurong areas, which included the premises of a car and steel workshop as well as a restaurant.

It was stated in a press statement released by the Law Enforcement Section of the Immigration and National Registration Department that the individuals were in contravention of the country's laws for not having on them valid documents. They were taken to the department's headquarters for further investigation.

Another three individuals, meanwhile, were issued special passes, whilst three summons were issued and addressed to employers to assist with the department's enquiries.

Among those who were investigated, meanwhile, had on them nine packets of illegal cigarettes and the case has been referred to the Royal Customs and Excise Department.
