Bandar Seri Begawan - Fifty speeding cases were recorded by traffic police in their latest operation conducted over the weekend near the Damuan Recreational Park.

Fifteen personnel were involved in the two-hour operation beginning at 2.15pm, led by Sidik bin Serudin and assisted by Husaini bin Adi.

Another operation was conducted in the evening amid heavy downpour at the Gadong flyover. Some 16 personnel were involved, led by Ibrahim bin Hj Saili and assisted by Md Saiful Rizam bin Hj Junaidi.

However, the operations had to stop due to heavy rain, resulting in only three fines being issued for expired road tax.

In view of the current wet spell, the traffic police have advised road users to be cautious and to abide by the road traffic rules and regulations.

They are also advised to switch on their headlamps due to poor visibility.
