Bandar Seri Begawan - The Traffic Control and Investigation Department, Royal Brunei Police Force, conducted a traffic operation codenamed "Operasi Tegas" at two different locations yesterday.
The first location was at the Jalan Tutong area from Kilanas heading toward the Sengkurong area - (roundabout at No-U turn) Bunut.The one-hour operation which lasted from 10am to 11pm involved 17 personnel from the Traffic Control and Investigation Department, led by CPL 3601 Saiful Rizam bin Hj Junaidi.
During the operation, a total of 15 compound cases were issued to road offenders who made an illegal U-turn at a 'No U-turn' sign.
The second location was at Km 21.8 of the Tutong highway heading towards Muara. The speed trap operation from 11am to 12 Noon involved 16 personnel led by S/Major 1165 Samsudin bin Hj Bidin.
A total of 32 compound cases were issued to road offenders, with one docket case that involved lowering and modifying the vehicle.
Police reminded all road users to always obey traffic rules and road traffic signs for the safety of all.
