Bandar Seri Begawan - A total of 47 personnel from the Department of Immigration and National Registration yesterday got a boost in their career after they were promoted and each received an insignia.

The guest of honour at the presentation ceremony was the Acting Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs, Awg Roslan bin Haji Taja'ah.In his opening remarks, the Assistant Director of Immigration, Haji Ansmawi bin Haji Tengah congratulated all the recipients of the insignia and promotions.

"This (the presentation) serves as recognition of the efforts and commitment shown by the promoted officers," he said. Among the insignia recipients yesterday was a Deputy Director of Immigration, who was actually promoted on June 28, 2012, and is currently the Acting Director of Immigration and National Registration.

Among those promoted were three Assistants Director of Immigration who have held their current position since December 22 last year while two others have been promoted to Senior Heads of Immigration and another four to Heads of Immigration.
