4-Day 'Penerapan Nilai Murni' Camp Ends

Jerudong - A Four-Day camp organised by Sayyidina Husain Secondary School in Jerudong that had already ended on November 22 was closed Wednesday in the school hall.

Present during the event was Principal Cikgu Zarina Hj Kadir, Deputy Head of Academic Teacher Pg Rasimah binti Pg Hj Tajuddin, teachers, parents and students.

The objective of the camp was to instil high morals and values, improving confidence and self-esteem of students.

The deputy head of academic teacher advised the students to inculcate noble qualities, good character and obedience and respect for parents and teachers.

A representative of the student participants, Zulfadzli Noramiduddin bin Awg Zulmajdi, in a speech said that in an era of globalised world without barriers, negative elements can undermine noble values if they are not properly tackled. He also added that there is no point for us to achieve the developed nation status by 2020 if future generations have no moral, discipline and forget our culture.

During the four-day camp, the participants were engaged in various activities related to leadership, instilling high moral values such as teamwork, listening to spiritual talks delivered by officials from the Islamic Dakwah Centre, Royal Brunei Police Force, a tour of Pusat Al-Islah and Maraburong Prison and also activities organised by the Department of Youth and Sports.

The event followed with a presentation of certificates of participation to the participants and certificates of appreciation to members of the Department of Youth and Sports.
