Bandar Seri Begawan - A record 253 road traffic offences, such as speeding and U-turn violations, were recorded in the past three days of operations carried out during the day and night by the traffic police.
The latest series of the 'Ops Tegas' operation, which was led by ASP Muhd Fathdillah bin Hj Awg Damit, Assistant Head of Operation, involved 45 traffic police personnel for every location.
The operations were conducted in several areas such as Jln Estate Gadong, Tungku Link, Rimba Link, Jln Kiarong and Jln Terunjing Rimba connecting roads.
Amid the wet season and holiday period, the traffic police has urged drivers to plan their journey, check their vehicles prior to making a journey, adhere to the speed limit, use signals when changing lanes, not to jump the red light, avoid tailgating and to follow rules when overtaking.
