Bandar Seri Begawan - A total of 18 officers including five dentists from the Department of Dental Services, Old Airport in Berakas, have completed their three-day fire marshall course at the Old Training Centre of the Fire and Rescue Department.
Throughout the course, the participants learned several theoretical and practical knowledge on ways to distinguish fire and prevention procedures, identifying the classes of fire and introducing the various types of fire extinguishing equipment.
Meanwhile, they were also briefed on the roles and responsibilities of the Fire and Rescue Department.
Delivering the presentations were officers from the Fire Prevention, Investigation and Operation Section, as well as other sections of the Fire and Rescue Department.
During the practical classes, participants witnessed the procedures of carrying, rolling and unrolling of fire hose, procedures of saving lives, and others, as well as a visit to the Women Operation Unit.
The completion of their course was marked with a certificate presentation ceremony by the guest of honour, Deputy Commanding Officer Operation 'C' Fire Superintendent Abd.
