Bandar Seri Begawan - Fifteen participants of a traditional medicine course organised by the Youth Development Centre, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports received their certificates yesterday. The ceremony was held at the centre's meeting room.
On hand to present the certificates was Acting Assistant Director of Youth Development Centre, Awg Haswandi bin HO Osman.
The two-week course was conducted by a former village head of Kg Lugu, Haji Nayan bin Apong.
Awg Haswandi in his speech said the course aimed to produce more youths to equip with skills related to traditional medical practices and to ensure that the traditional knowledge would not be forgotten by the younger generation.
He also advised the participants to use their experience wisely and not to go against the Islamic teachings.
Awg Haswandi expressed his gratitude and appreciation to Haji Nayan who was willing to share his experience during the course.
