Bandar Seri Begawan - A total of 14 foreigners, three of whom were women, were detained temporarily at the Bandar Seri Begawan Law Enforcement Section during raids on rented rooms and houses in Mukim Serasa, Mukim Berakas, Mukim Mentiri and Mukim Sungai Kianggeh.

Eight special passes were issued to the foreign nationals while their identity cards and passports were held for further investigations.

Meanwhile, four foreign nationals failed to prove they were lawfully wedded couples in accordance with law.

Royal Customs and Excise officers, on the other hand, ended their raid with one case involving a Muslim foreign national who possessed contraband items.

Two cases of the improper use of working permits were uncovered.
