13 Labour Violators Nabbed In Joint Operation

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Immigration Law Enforcement Section and the Labour Department joined forces to curb Immigration offences as special passes were released to three people as well as summons to an employer for investigation.

The trio's identity cards and passports have also been withheld to assist in further investigations.

A total of 10 people, including three women, have been brought to the station for a screening process and subsequently to assist in authorities to produce a report for reasons concerning the misuse of Immigration passes.

Meanwhile, through the investigation of the Labour Department, 13 foreigners were believed to have had violated the Labour Department regulations.

Twenty-seven enforcement officers were involved in the latest "Joint Operation Tangkas" including 20 Immigration officers and seven labour enforcement officers.

The public are advised to report any suspicious activities with regards to Immigration offences and any information will be kept strictly confidential.
