Years come and go and our very own RTB has reached the age of 37. Looking back I felt during my high school years, RTB then had more better quality programmes compared to today. How can that be?
Budget constraints, human resource or just plain non creative staff? I only watch RTB 2 because of the foreign programmes.
Quantity wise there are more local programmes now but quality wise it could improve. Where are our creative talents? Or is it RTB is just waiting to surprise viewers when it reaches 40 like 'Life begins at 40'?
In promoting our local artistes I salute our radio stations especially Pelangi, where you can listen daily to songs composed by our gifted composers.
But I think more exposure for our artistes can be given by our radio station as well. I remember a few years back I used to bring my teenage children to the Pelangi roadshows,
We even went as far as KB just to meet with our local singers. But today everything is just quiet.
One can hear more and more new talents on the radio but who are they? Why not promote them through roadshows.
We are also eagerly waiting for the Warisan.Com album. But till now there is no news at all, though it was said to be out soon.
That was last year and in two months' time we'll be ushering in 2013. So please do something to improve your quality.
