The announcement of the commencement of the Small Claims Tribunals Order, 2006 and the Small Claims Tribunals Rules, 2012 from January 1 is most welcome.

It will be a fast-track process providing a time efficient and inexpensive forum compared to that of a civil litigation process. We applaud the Government of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam for implementing the Order that would help settle disputes quickly and amicably.
