I, as a parent of one of the students at a private school in a suburb of the capital, would like to express my disappointment over the school's management.

Firstly, there are 36 pupils in my son's primary class. I am concerned that the pupils, especially my son, would not get the proper attention required especially when it comes to studies.

Some classes even have students up to 40. Aren't there any rules set by the MoE on the appropriate number of pupils in a class?

At least the school's management should set up another class to accommodate the overflow.

Secondly, we are not happy with the school's decision to allocate all Year 1 students to the preschool section.

The school has no outdoor facilities to let pupils roam and play during break time.

It's saddening to see all students cooped up inside the air-conditioned building from 12.45pm to 5.15pm.

As parents who pay school fees, we are not satisfied with the school's management system.

It's such a shame to see the image as a well-established school that has been around for over 20 years having accomplished great academic feats turning out to be a disappointment.

To change schools at this time would be impractical. Authorities please look into this.
