I would like to raise the issue of the drainage along Jalan Simpang 273 till the end of Jalan Simpang 45 in Kampong Selayun Sengkurong which has been cemented and properly built to standards.
It was due since approximately three years ago. It was said to undergo a Phase 2 development but there was nothing done about it till now. The rest of the drainages in most part of the kampong have been consolidated pretty well, but it is only this part of the area which has not been touched.
Enquiries regarding this matter have been made so many times to the concerned authorities but no action has yet been taken.
This issue has to be prioritised as every time there is a heavy downpour, the drainage tends to be obstructed easily and to make things worse, wild vines hinder movement of water leading to floodwaters overflowing to nearby roads and houses.
I hope this issue is addressed ASAP.
