I just moved to Lumut in Kuala Belait District and it is a really nice neighbourhood.

Here are some suggestions that would be beneficial to those living in Lumut area.

Firstly, we in Lumut are in need of a new Grand Mosque since many people have moved in to this area such as from the Army Third Batallion, Brunei Methanol Company and the Lumut Housing Scheme. We need proper bus stops with roofs and seatings need to be constructed every one kilometre since there are a lot of locals and foreigners depending on buses as a mode of transportation.

The waste disposal area also needs attention.

Why can't we have contractors similarly like in Bandar who are stationed and looking after the cleanliness of the area? We also need lights.

The entrance and exit route for vehicles to that area also need to be visible and need to be improved.

Since Seria Town is the only town close to Lumut and that's the only place to dine and shop, it would be nice to add more lighting to Seria Town. It is dangerous even walking on the Zebra Crossing since minimal lighting is

provided between the two buildings.

The streets behind Millemewah and the Tamu Selera need lighting as well. It is totally dark there at night.

More and more shops have opened but lighting in alleys needs to be improved as well. Another thing that really needs attention is the drainage system. Most drains are clogged and water is not moving at all. Can the relevant authorities do something about it? At least clean and wash the drains with high pressured water.

Please do have a look at the drain in front of a bakery and the new DST.

Please don't organise any bazaar at Tamu Selera as it is not suitable. Tamu Selera is meant for people to enjoy their food and drinks.

Having a bazaar in the middle of it doesn't make sense. Are there any plans to construct a pedestrian overhead bridge connecting OGDC, Bowling Centre and the Community Hall?

It would be nice to have one since it would be safer for pedestrians to cross the busy road especially during peak time. Bear in mind not everyone owns a car.
