On many occasions I have found it difficult to get certain merchants, especially taxi drivers, to accept our currency in Singapore. This even includes a top Singaporean university which outright refused to accept payment in Brunei dollars.

I read with much sympathy a recent letter titled "Worst traffic jam in my life" regarding the traffic situation along the Mulaut-Jangsak-Beribi roads.

We as users of Jalan Tutong or popularly known as "Jalan Lama" feel that the road, which used to be the main road, is neglected.

The traffic light at the Labi/Jalan Pantai Sungai Liang Junction serves only the junction from Labi and not the junction from Jalan Pantai. During peak hours usually between 6.30 and 8am, this junction is one of the busiest and dangerous for drivers coming out from Jalan Pantai since there is no traffic light to direct them. The case is the same in the evening, from 4 to 8.30pm.

Personally, I find the new lane markings at the big roundabout in Kiulap quite good. They are not much different from many roundabouts in Britain where I used to drive.

I am currently studying in one of the technical/ vocational schools in Brunei and I would like to ask the responsible agencies, where is our allowance?

I am a student of Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB). Every semester, it is mandatory for students to take certain number of subjects, be it for degree or higher national diploma courses. Last semester, students of Year 1, having their first experience of university life, had to take 10 subjects and now in the second semester, they have to take 11 subjects.

I've experienced bullying in school. I am 12 now, the bullying started when I was in grade four and I had just moved. The people who I thought were my friends used my secrets and personal things against me.

We are currently living in the Kg Mulaut area and since moving to that area in my adolescent ears, we have been putting up with the never-ending traffic jams along Jalan Mulaut-Jangsak in the mornings and which have just kept increasing over the years into becoming your worst "daymare"!
