Bandar Seri Begawan - The Autoriti Monetari Brunei Darussalam (AMBD), agent to the government of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in managing and administering Sukuk Al-Ijarah issuances announced the successful pricing of its 73rd issuance of short term Sukuk Al-Ijarah securities.

According to a press release, the total of the sukuk issuance was $100 million. The 73rd issuance series dated May 17 will mature on August 16 with tenor of 91 days. The rental rate is 0.18 per cent.

With this issuance, the Brunei government has thus far issued over $4.151 billion worth of short term Sukuk Al-Ijarah securities since the maiden offering on April 6, 2006.
