Malaysian Teachers Visit Rimba Primary School

Bandar Seri Begawan - Thirty-six lecturers led by Assistant Director of Institut Pengambilan Guru (I PG) from Melaka, Datin Siti Hanifah binti Madarsah, visited Rimba II Primary School yesterday. Present to welcome the visitors were the school headmistress, Cikgu Hajah Noorliah Hj Aspar, assistant headmasters, senior teachers, teachers and officers from the Special Education Unit, Ministry of Education.
To enliven the atmosphere, the schoolteachers played traditional music on the `gulingtangan' to entertain the visitors. The event began with the recital of surah al-fatihah led by Cikgu Roslee bin Hj Osmera followed by a welcoming speech by the school headmistress, Cikgu I lajah Noorliah Bte Hj Aspar and a briefing about the school presented by the school's assistant headmistress, Cikgu Hajah Siti Mariam Hj I lashim.
A representative from I PG gave a video presentation about the I PG Campus. The visit ended with the visitors taking a tour around "Permata Building" where the special needs students were having their lessons. The delegates had the chance to mingle with some of the schoolteachers and shared their ideas and knowledge in teaching special need pupils. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
