Primary School Badminton Contest Winners Awarded

Bandar Seri Begawan - The boy's team of Jerudong Primary School and the girl's team of Junjungan Primary School emerged as the champions in the badminton doubles category during the Brunei Division IV finals that took place yesterday at the Mukim Pengkalan Batu Community Hall.
First runner-up for the boy's team went to Sengkurong Primary School while the ARMY Katimahar Primary School team claimed the same spot in the girl's side. In the boy's individual category, the title of champion went to Bengkurong Primary School, while Mulaut Primary School came in second with both Pengkalan Batu Primary School and HAR Menunggol Primary School jointly awarded third place.
In the girl's individual category, Sengkurong Primary School captured first position, while Panchor Murai Primary School came in second. Bebuloh Primary School along with Junjungan Primary School were also jointly awarded third place.
The championship was organised by the co-curriculum department and hosted by the Panchor Murai Primary School and saw the participation of 15 primary schools representing Brunei Division IV. In attendance to witness the final matches as the guest of honour was Awg Haji Matassan bin Haji Salleh, who also presented the prizes to the winners. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
