In addition to the article published by Disappointed Buyer, I also would like to find out where I can direct my disappointment and concerns to.

I have managed to find out what year my vehicle was manufactured and it is totally different to what is stated in the Blue Card. I have recently purchased an imported used vehicle from Singapore from a local used car dealer. Upon receiving the vehicle, the mileage seemed pretty low.

After driving around in Brunei only for less than 8 months, I have spent a great amount of money for repairs that has amounted to more than 2 thousand dollars (with receipts and mechanics to vouch for it). Of course, I went back to the dealer complaining that I did not expect so much repairs for a car with "low mileage" and used for "2-3" years in Singapore. I did not even get the refunds for my repairs and the boss had the audacity to answer me "you know lah, these are used cars, very hard to predict if have problems one".

In my right mind I was shocked by his response. Before I actually ink the deal to purchase the car, the dealer said "Mileage low, no problem".

Now he is telling me a different story. And worst thing is that he even tried to shirk his responsibility by saying that his company is using another company's licence to import the cars and he has no control over that. Is this even legal in Brunei? I do not know whom to take to file these complaints.

car dealers mind set only making money to their company you know.. of course they say to their customer the cars they are selling in a good condition. depends on the customer itself whether buying their word or not..

Land Transport cannot help you. Maybe lodge the police report. But then again, this is all inside job. Nothing lay man like you and me can do.

aslm....sja kan bepadah jua...memang banar atu hak biskita sebagai dealer used car sama ada import or local used car untuk membagi harga atau menentukan harga dan atu tergantung jua kepada pihak pengguna yg berkemampuan membali....cuma masalah nya yg timbul disini ada yg bejual dgn harga yg inda masuk akal almost brand new price eventhough matuka atu sudah 2 ke 3 tahun...dan lagi sudah tah mahal interest lagi tinggi...cubatah fikirkan ...cemanatah org kan mampu membali kerita idaman lainlah org yg berkemampuan usin belumpok..terlintas difikiran jua satu pertanyaan...ADAKAH PIHAK YG TERTENTU ADA MEMBUAT PENILAIAN ATAU YG BERSANGKUT PAUT TENTANG HARGA YG DIJUAL(USED IMPORT CAR)such as EPU...s dan jua lagi ada yg kerosakan matuka atu disembunyikan dari customer...bukan kah atu menipu...so cemani sja tah to make this short n simple ..adakah relevant authority ada meneliti n memantau harga imported used car ketani...and lastly to some used car dealer yg terasa hati ..fikir fikirkan inda salah cari untung tapi jgn menipu(dari segi harga n condition kerita) pengguna hanya semata mata mau banyak untung....

do u know the cost price of a lexus ES300 from singapore is only $16k+20%(or even less) duty=$20k n how much are those used car dealer selling??

i belive any car not only es300 but nissan 350z, skyline, Honda accord and other cars in sg will be bought at cheaper price
and sold at a higher price in brunei because
those usedcar dealer recon the car for you in Brunei
so include service charge + new parts (batteries, brakepad, timing chain. etc) + new paint job + shipping cost + some profit so all that will add up to that price.

The other reason the used car dealer got it cheaper is because they bought the cars in bulk economics

Driver Testing Station Car Park

I have just been to the new Driver Testing station to get my driving licence renewed, only to be big time shocked. There is no where to car park la. All new learner driving la, obeying all rules when no car park cause all full. So people park ILLEGALLY, doubled up etc etc etc which is big NO NO. How are new people supposed to see good example when it is right in their face that no one is being arrested. I parked on the dirt after having driving across the testing track..... Huh. Security said no worries. The appropriate authorities need to take note and make a good example, as bad image to everyone.
