Odd Claim From "Prof Canadian"
Odd Claim From "Prof Canadian"
I read with interest an article on Canada Universities by Prof Canadian and I think it's funny that the "Prof Canadian" for whatever reason seems to think there is more rain at Capilano University than at UBC.
I'm a grad student at SFU and know North Vancouver really well since it's a whole 20 minutes away from downtown and a mere 40 minutes away from UBC. All three universities are in the same city. That and Capilano University is actually a university for fine and applied arts, film and other artsy type courses so I suppose people who study creative programs are clinically insane. a "Prof" who would recommend Columbia College is the one who's insane. Public education in Canada is of a really high quality.
I wouldn't recommend anyone going to a private college (hardly any accreditation for private schools) if they can get in to a public school. I've studied in Japan - high school and the UK for university and find Canada to be really welcoming. Some places are cold - I'm in Vancouver because it's tolerable, especially with all the media about the Olympics not having enough snow here. as for "Prof Canadian"'s comments that University of New Brunswick is slightly colder than Vancouver - I'd suggest you look it up on some weather networks, add the windchill factor and then add in the fact that the entire population can be counted by the fingers on your own two hands. Good luck getting a job in New Brunswick after university.
