Bangar - The Guidance and Training Section of the Jame' Asr Hassanal Bolkiah Negara Brunei Darussalam recently organised a workshop on Azan Aqwal Wa af'al for muezzins (bilal) from mosques throughout the country.

A total of seven muezzins from mosques in the Temburong District received their certificates during the closing ceremony held at Masjid Utama Mohd Salleh Pekan Bangar.

The guest of honour was Ustaz Haji Abd Kahar bin Haji Hussin.

The ceremony began with a welcoming speech by the chairman of the workshop, Pengiran Haji Haslin bin Pengiran Haji Aji, who said that the course was held to upgrade the quality of azan (call for prayer).

Also present were Haji Mail bin Besar, Chief Officer of the Religious Department in the Temburong District and other senior mosque officers.
