Man Who Molested Boy In Religious School On Trial

Bandar Seri Begawan - A Local man accused of outraging the modesty of a nine-year-old boy at a religious school in Brunei-Muara District pleaded not guilty before the Bandar Seri Begawan Magistrate's Court yesterday.The 29-year-old defendant, Mohamad Fikri Hj Duraman, was charged with allegedly using criminal force on a boy inside a toilet for teachers at a religious school on January 4, 2007.
He allegedly touched and fondled with the boy's genitals using his hands and rubbed his mouth against the boy's genitals.
If found guilty, he could be imprisoned for up to five years and whipped.
Mohamad Fikri, who is being represented by DC Roy Prabhakaran of Cheok, Sangkaran, Halim, entered a "not guilty" plea.
Further mention of the case will be held on January 5, 2010. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
