Unattended Garbage Disposal Area Calls For Attention

Bandar Seri Begawan - A garbage disposal area located at Bangunan Haji Mohd Salleh (behind NBT's showroom in Gadong) has been left unattended for the past month or perhaps ignored by relevant authorities, it was observed. Nearby shop owners have raised concerns on the over-flowing rubbish which has become an eyesore for passers-by. Photo shows the unattended garbage disposal area.-- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin

If there are responsible and civic minded citizens the shop owners and operators would take the initiative to do whatever is necessary to prevent and avoid this unforgiving and morally unacceptable event from recurring.
The license of these owners and operators should be canceled and revoked as I was informed that a condition attached to every approved license is shop operator shall ensure that their premises and its surrounding areas are clean.
