Malaysian Dies In Telisai Highway Collision
Tutong - A Malaysian man died and two Bruneians sustained injuries in a car collision which occured at the Telisai Highway area in Tutong District. police said yesterday.
According to a press release by the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF), the Tutong Police Station received an emergency call from 993 last night at around 8.20pm informing of a road accident involving two saloon cars which occured at the Telisai Highway area.
The accident took the life of a Chinese man who was of Malaysian nationality from Miri, Sarawak. The victim was driving a Perodua from Miri heading to Bandar Seri Begawan and collided with a Nissan Sunny which was heading in the opposite direction.
Both driver and passenger of the Nissan Sunny sustained injuries.
The police is still investigating the cause of the accident and seeks the public's cooperation in providing any information with regards to the cause of the accident that would assist in their investigation.
The police also reminds the public to be extra cautious when driving especially under poor weather conditions.-- Courtesy of The Brunei Times
