In the message, His Majesty and the people of Brunei expressed their great appreciation over the warm friendship and close cooperation between the Sultanate and the "Land of Smiles".
His Majesty said that he looked forward to continuing working together in strengthening much-valued relations as close partners, both bilaterally as well as within the framework of Asean.
He also expressed his gratitude for the good hospitality extended to him during the 15th Asean Summit held in Hua Hin, Thailand, earlier this year.
His Majesty conveyed his personal best wishes for the continued good health and happiness of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej and for the continued progress and prosperity of the people of Thailand.
Thai state-run news agency MCOT reported yesterday that His Majesty King Bhumibol is scheduled to grant a public audience to members of the Thai royal family, civil servants and members of parliament at the Grand Palace's Amarin Winitchai Throne Hall in Bangkok this morning.
The Thai king was admitted to Siriraj Hospital on September 19 with a lung infection and fever.
His condition has been improving, according to the Royal Household Bureau, but he remains hospitalised and has only made two public appearances since being admitted to hospital, the agency reported.-- Courtesy of The Brunei Times
