Bandar Seri Begawan - His Majesty the Sultan and Yang DiPertuan of Brunei Darussalam has sent congratulatory message to the President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic Choummaly Sayasone on the occasion of his country's Independence Day.

In the message His Majesty expressed his satisfaction at the progress of relations between the two countries both bilaterally as well as within the framework of Asean and wished that this would be further enhanced in the future for the mutual benefits of both nations and people.

In a congratulatory message to Laos's Prime Minister Bouasone Bouphavanh, His Majesty stated that he looked forward to continuing work in strengthening both bilateral relations between the two countries and as partners in Mean.

Meanwhile His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade also conveyed his congratulations to Laos Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr Thongloun Sisoulith and people of Laos on their National Day. "It has once more been a pleasure working with you over the past year and I wish you and your people most enjoyable celebration," said HRH Prince Mohamed Bolkiah.
