Kuala Belait - A group of 21 participants registered with the Job Centre, Department of Labour recently completed a free one-day `Jobseekers Motivational Workshop' held at Seaview Hotel in Kuala Belait. The workshop was facilitated by Farris Haji Abdul Rahman from fmBRUNEI Consultancy Services, according to a press release.

This was the first of such workshops organised in the Belait District and the response was overwhelming. In the workshop, the participants were guided on CV and cover letter writing for job applications. Tips on interview preparations such as tackling difficult questions and dressing style were also discussed. Motivational topics covered included `Mindset Shift and Change Management', 'Effective Communications Skills, Image Building and Personal Grooming', and how to handle stress.

The workshop was fully organised and sponsored by fmBRUNEI Group of Companies with contribution from Perbadanan Tabung Amanah Islam Brunei Berhad (TAIB). The next session of this workshop will be held in Bandar Seri Begawan in January 2010. Those interested are welcome to visit the Job Centre during working hours to ask about available courses.
