Bandar Seri Begawan - The school season is about to end in a few days and as expected, several schools are organising award and certificate presentations for students, to encourage them to continue working hard and to strive for success in the years to come.

Bakiau Primary School is no exception as it held a ceremony for students at its hall yesterday.

It began with a surah al-fatihah prayer, which was read by Ustaz Haji Muhd Kamal Shahrum Haji Abdul Mumin and was followed by a speech by the school principal, Dayangku Hajah Haidah Pengiran Haji - Mahadar.

In her speech, she touched on Brunei's 21st Education System (SPN21) as well as the 100 per cent success rate in the PSR examinations recently.

The guest of honour, Bakiau village head, Haji Mohd Taib Haji Jeludin, also spoke and presented awards to the best performing students.
