Tutong - A Dusun teenager from Kg Bukit Udal yesterday embraced Islam in a conversion ceremony at the Tutong Dakwah Department Office. The ceremony began with a recital of the al-fatihah, followed by the conversion itself.

Amy Aniza Channip, 23, recited the Dua Kalimah Syahadah in front of Tutong Dakwah officers and chose her new Muslim name as Nadhrah Syazwana Abdullah Channip.

She later received a present from Alizan Hj Ramle, Head of the Tutong Dakwah Department, and the ceremony ended with a reading of the doa selamat. Also present were her family members.

Nadhrah Syazwana Abdullah Channip, who has just finished her studies at Maktab Kejuruteraan Jefri Bolkiah, said that she wilfully embraced 1slam.
