Brunei Library Association Holds AGM
Seventy members of the Brunei Library Association consisting of officers and staff froin the government and private sector, universities, secondary schools, special libraries as well as Information and Library Management Course students, attended the AGM.
The main objective of the meeting was to discuss matters brought up during the 2008-2010 AGM and to discuss the upcoming Silver Jubilee celebration for 2011.
Another aim of the AGM was to disseminate information to members of the Library Association on the need for librarians to be creative, innovative and willing to compete with international information centres in providing the latest information as well as providing services to the library users.
During the AGM, members of the association had a chance to foster better relations with the executive committee members of the association.
Also present at the meeting were the President of the Library Association, Nellie Dato Paduka Hj Sunny and the Vice President of the Association, Hj Abdullah Hj Tahir. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
