Recently there were complaints in Borneo Bulletin made by public regarding the salesmen/women who are trying to sell their product by tricking customers. I guess everyone knows who are the salesmen or women I am talking about.

They are the ones who always waiting in front of the entrance wearing nice clothes and holding "prize vouchers". These guys' cheap trick is very simple. Their technique is firstly looking for their target which is usually the one who look vulnerable such as old couple, those who look loaded and those who buy lots of stuffs using trolley. After that, they will approach the target and tell them that they just won a gift voucher and in order to redeem the gift they have to purchase some of their product that cost B$1000 above. To convince the target they usually make a fake phone call to their boss.

They will ask their fake boss what the target will get if he buy this and this bla bla... Some targets might fall for this, some who don't will be force to stay at their booth and they will continue bluffing and even worst being rude to the customer.

My opinion is that this salesmen/women are sooo UNPROFESSIONAL...not just because their marketing technique is extremely unethical but also some of them are very annoying and always give dirty look to find targets. I hope that everyone who read this post will be much aware of this trick.  To those salesmen/women who read this...well please be more professional and please stop staring at people.

I agree with you. I've encountered this unprofessional behaviors by salemen/women & cashiers at our major supermarkets. I suggest the "taukay" should take a serious steps to provide professional trainings on correct etiquette to the employees.
I encountered this rude behavior at the cashier counter to pay my items. The cashier attending to me was talking and joking with the other cashier at the other counter. I felt my present there was not respected. I wonder, is this the type of behavior approved by the "taukay"?

sama tu trick org kraja yg d mall... they usually wait for people arah dakat escalator.. i hate their accent when i know they're BRUNEIAN.. "kejap akak ye...." and they called their boss and said, "eeeeehhh betul ke ni bos???"

well actually. i've been there... i've been tricked to ANSWER A SURVEY, which was fine for me... sekali i won a mug... bah fine.... then he talked.... ohhh-kayyyy.. i wasn't interested... why??

1) baik lagi masak kerupuk atu pkai minyak kali... lagi nyaman kali..
2) tutup karan nada makan tu eh pkai tambak atu...

non-stop bah ckp nya with their malaysian accent.. yang cali nya... kalau mau brg atu nda ya mau melapas awal kalau kita bayar ansur2 mcm meloan...which is cali... kalau meloan di bank we get the barang tarus..

penting nya... bagi ku penipu... the way drg atu buat business... mcm nda ikhlas... ckp kita manang ani lah.. tapi mesti kluar duit manang nya atu...

ertinya... to the boss... get a new strategy....
